WHAT DATA IS COLLECTED AND HOW IS IT COLLECTED WHEN YOU VISIT THIS WEBSITE?
We collect only personal information that you choose to provide to us or that is necessary for us to provide you with our service. When you visit our website, our web servers automatically record information such as the browser and operating system you use, the website from which you visit us, the websites you visit on our site, the date of your visit and for security reasons (e.g. to detect attacks on our websites), and the Internet Protocol address (IP address) assigned to you by your Internet service provider for a period of seven days. With the exception of your IP address, personal data is only stored if you provide it to us voluntarily. You may provide us with your email address, name, mailing address, telephone number, and other information in order to receive information about our products, participate in sweepstakes or surveys, purchase products, or simply keep up to date with the products of interest to you.

If you call up our website and enter something in free text fields and, for example, leave a comment, our systems store the Internet Protocol address (IP address). We need this information for security reasons, to prevent misuse, and for other security purposes.

SECURITY
VIVIL uses technical and organisational security measures in order to protect your data administered by us against manipulation, loss, destruction and against access by unauthorised parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

Only authorised employees have access to your personal data. These may also be authorised employees of our service providers who process the data on behalf of VIVIL or who have access to this data. In this case we have concluded an “order data processing contract” with the service provider.

FOR WHICH PURPOSES DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We use your personal data for the technical administration of the website, for customer administration, for the protected download area, for answering your questions within the scope of the consumer service, for product surveys and surveys, and for marketing only to the extent necessary in each case. We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which you provided it to us.

If you have given us your consent to process your personal data, this data will also be used for the purposes specified in the corresponding consent (e.g. sending products). You can revoke your consent to this at any time with effect for the future.

Within the framework of individual use, we would like to make our advertising materials (e.g. during your visit to our websites) as user-friendly and individual as possible. Information automatically generated and transmitted by you helps us to provide you with individual and customised information. This information includes “technical data” on our VIVIL website (e.g. IP address, operating system, browser, and date and time of the visit to our website).

TRANSFER OF YOUR DATA TO THIRD PARTIES AND OTHER COUNTRIES
We will not share your personal information with any other companies that wish to use it for direct marketing purposes unless you have given us permission to do so. In addition, we make your personal data available to the following other parties to a very limited extent:

  • Our service providers so that they can support us with the administration of our website or with the dispatch of the products. We have contractually obliged these companies to take the same security measures as we do with regard to personal data, to maintain the confidentiality of the data, and to process it only on our express instructions.

  • Personal data will only be transmitted to state institutions and authorities within the framework of mandatory applicable legal provisions.

Your personal data may be transferred to other countries if one of our service providers is based abroad. In this case, a “contract data processing agreement” is concluded with the service provider. This ensures that the same level of data protection and data security that prevails in Germany is maintained. Among other things, this is ensured by the fact that the service provider is obliged to act exclusively on our instructions and to continuously take all technical measures to protect your personal data to the same extent as here.

If personal data are processed in a country outside the EU and the EEA, we ensure the appropriate level of data protection by concluding the standard contract stipulated by the EU for this purpose or there is an adequacy decision of the EU Commission for the respective country.

When you purchase products online via our VIVIL Online Shop, your personal data will be transmitted only in encrypted form. For each data transfer, we use the TLS security system (Transport Layer Security) in conjunction with 128-bit encryption. This technology offers the highest level of security. The encrypted information about your order, your name, and your address cannot be read by outsiders.

If you use the PayPal payment service, we will forward your name, delivery address, email address, and shopping basked details to PayPal so that PayPal can correctly match your order.

If you use the payment service “Sofort” of the company Sofort GmbH, we will forward your name, delivery address, email address and shopping basket details to “Sofort” so that “Sofort” can correctly match your order.

FACEBOOK
Social plug-ins of the external social network of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, (Facebook) are implemented on our website. You can recognise the plug-ins within the scope of our web presence (e.g. by means of the Facebook logo). You can find an overview of the Facebook plug-ins and their appearance here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins.

If you call up a page of our website that contains such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plug-in is transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Facebook receives the information that your browser has retrieved the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the US and stored there.

If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can immediately assign your visit to our website to your Facebook profile. If you interact with the plug-ins (e.g. click on the “Like” button or make a comment), this information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information will also be published to your Facebook profile and displayed to your Facebook friends.

If you do not want Facebook to associate the data collected through our website directly with your Facebook profile, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the loading of Facebook plug-ins with add-ons for your browser, for example with the “Facebook Blocker” http://webgraph.com/resources/facebookblocker/.
